Conditions for Utah home buyers have improved as a result of measurable declines in mortgage rates since last year and increased housing inventory. Although much more affordability progress is needed, UAR's Housing Affordability Index improved 7% over September 2023.

Utah home sales increased in September as buyers took advantage of the lowest mortgage rates of the year. Conditions for Utah home buyers have improved as a result of measurable declines in mortgage rates since last year and increased housing inventory.
