Vernal Realtor installed as 2021 president of the Utah Association of REALTORS®

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Association of REALTORS® installed Vernal Realtor Caro Norton as 2021 president during a Dec. 8 ceremony in Salt Lake City. Norton will serve the 18,000-member organization as president in 2021 and as immediate past president in 2022.

“It is an honor to serve this association and represent Realtors and property owners throughout Utah,” Norton said. “I’m excited to tackle the challenges of serving our members during the pandemic and addressing Utah’s housing needs and affordability challenges.”

Norton is the first person from Vernal to serve in this position, according to Association records that date back to 1979.

Norton has been a Realtor since 2003. She is the owner and principal broker of New Star Real Estate, a local independently owned real estate brokerage with offices in Vernal and Roosevelt. She specializes in residential, land and commercial real estate. She recently completed terms as the Association’s president-elect, vice president and treasurer and has served as president of the local Uintah Basin Board of Realtors.

In 2021, Norton will serve with President-elect Randy Day, principal broker of Anasazi Realty in Moab; Vice President Jed Nilson, president of Nilson Homes in South Ogden; Treasurer Adam Kirkham, with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in Salt Lake City; and Dave Robison, principal broker at goBE Realty in South Jordan. Each of the officers will serve a one-year term on the Association’s Executive Committee.
