Because of the prevalence of short sales, the Utah Association of REALTORS® has created the Short Sale Specialist Certification. To earn the 11-credit certification, REALTORS® must attend the 2011 Convention and take the required courses outlined below. REALTORS® will learn the ins and outs of short sales, with particular emphasis on the Utah-specific laws and rules that affect short sales.
Upon completion of the classes, which are available exclusively at Convention, REALTORS® will receive a certificate and unlimited use of the SSS Certification in their advertising and marketing. The UAR will also recognize those who have earned the certification on the consumer section of UtahRealtors.com.
Courses
REALTORS® must have 7 core credits and 4 elective credits to earn the certification. These courses are available on Aug. 17 and Aug. 18. To see course times, review the Convention schedule.
